For the first time in several weeks, the province has no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 to report.

The last time there were no new cases was on November 16. That was before two recent outbreaks—one in Deer Lake and the other in Grand Bank.

Another recovery has been reported in the Western Health region, bringing the number of active cases to 29.

Public Health officials are reminding people to strictly adhere to the orders of the Chief Medical Officer of health including guidance about gatherings.

The total number of recoveries is posted at 307, with 63,527 having been tested for the virus.
