There are three new cases of COVID-19 being reported in Newfoundland and Labrador today, all in the western health region.

The first two cases are travel-related and involve men in their 40s.

In the first case, the man recently returned from work in British Colombia.

The man involved in the second case recently returned from work in Alberta and lives in the same household as a previously announced case.

The third case involves a woman in her 70s. She is a resident of the province and the source of that infection is currently under investigation.

The province says there have been no developments in the search for the source of infection for yesterday’s case involving a staff member of a school in western health. As well, the source of infection in Harbour Breton has not yet been found.

The province now has 23 active cases of coronavirus.
