Newfoundland and Labrador reported four new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

All four cases are in the Eastern Health region and are not connected to each other nor the cluster in Grand Bank.

The first new case is a man between 20 and 39 years old and is travel-related. The person, who is not a resident of the province, arrived from England after being granted a travel exemption. Officials say the man is self-isolating and contact tracing is complete. Anyone considered a close contact has also been advised to quarantine.

The second new case is a man in his 50s, is a resident of the province, and is a close contact of a previous known travel case. The person is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.

The third new case is a woman in her 40s and is a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador. The source of the infection is under investigation and an update will be provided as more information becomes available. Meanwhile, the woman is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.

The fourth new case is another man between 20 and 39 years old and is travel-related. The person is a resident of the province who returned from work in the United States. That man is self-isolating and contact tracing continues.

Newfoundland and Labrador now has 36 active cases of COVID-19. Two hundred and ninety-seven people have recovered and no one is currently in hospital due to the virus.
