There is one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in the province.

It involves a man in his 50s in the Eastern Health region and is travel-related.

There are 23 active cases in the province.

A recent case reported in the Western Health region was inconclusive and subsequent tests came back negative.

In the meantime, over 500 people have been tested for the virus in Harbour Breton where there are three known cases with no source identified. No new cases have been discovered in that area to-date.

Premier Andrew Furey says the first shipment of COVID vaccine arrived on Canadian soil last night.
