A total of three new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Newfoundland and Labrador over the weekend.

Which were reported on Saturday, with no new cases reported yesterday. That leaves the province with 22 active cases of the virus.

Investigations into the source of an infection announced Saturday in the Western Health region, as well as another one announced Friday in the same region, are continuing. An investigation also continues into the source of infections in Harbour Breton.

There has also been one new recovery in the Eastern Health region which means 332 people have now recovered from COVID-19 in the province, with no one in hospital due to the virus.

Meanwhile, this province’s first shipment of vaccines will arrive this week, although officials have been unable to say exactly when they will get here, and if they’re coming by truck or plane.

That will surely be one of the questions posed today at the regular COVID briefing set for 12:45 p.m. this afternoon, which VOCM will carry live.
